As a long-term investor in Imugene, it feels like I’ve been on a never-ending roller-coaster ride. At times, the highs were thrilling – the potential of the company seemed limitless, and the excitement of progress kept me invested. However, as the months and years have passed, I’ve found myself caught in a struggle to stay the course, especially when the ride dips into the valleys of doubt and frustration.
When I first became involved with Imugene, I had big hopes. I was drawn to the science and the incredible potential for innovation in the biotech field. As someone with a young family, I knew that this was a long-term play, one that could pay off in a big way if the company succeeded. But along the way, it hasn’t been easy.I’ve invested over six figures into this company, a significant amount for a young family. To say the mental toll has been challenging would be an understatement.
There was a time when I was eagerly following every bit of progress and every scientific breakthrough, excited about what was next. But lately, I’ve found that my trust in the management, particularly in Lesley and Paul, has significantly diminished. It’s hard to ignore the discontent that has built up with the leadership, and the constant promises that seem to fall short. I used to feel like I was in this together with the company, but now it feels like I’m on my own in a sea of uncertainty.I’ve struggled with the decision not to take profits at highs, particularly when the stock price was soaring. I kept telling myself to hold on for that bigger reward, for that moment when all the hard work would pay off. But those moments of triumph have been fleeting, and the ride has been much bumpier than I ever anticipated.
Despite all of this, I still love the science behind Imugene. The potential of the immuno-oncology treatments is real, and I still believe in the possibilities that this company represents for the future of cancer treatment. But the emotional toll, the mental struggle, and the constant disappointment in leadership have made it much harder to maintain the same enthusiasm and hope I once had.
At this point, it feels like a test of resilience. Can I hold on, or is it time to cut my losses and move on? As much as I want to believe in the company’s future, the emotional weight of this roller-coaster is starting to take its toll. I know I’m not alone in this journey, and I just hope that Imugene can find the stability and leadership it needs to get back on track – not only for investors, but for the many people whose lives could benefit from the science they’re working on.For now, I’ll continue to ride the roller-coaster. But I can’t deny that the ride is starting to feel a lot more like a test of patience and mental strength than a thrilling adventure.
