It seems to me that there’s no chance for an “even keel” on IMU forums.

No one is permitted to speak from the heart, without the risk of an extremist interpretation being triumphantly pounced on. The current concerns about the damaging influence of the main social forums might well expand their reach to HotCopper.

This forum is effectively the tearoom of our trading workplace, it’s just that we never get to know each other, so we are far more isolated.

And unlike our real work tearoom, a whole bunch of non-employees are allowed in, to sit down and bag our company. And unlike our real tearoom, we don’t get to know who’s the glass half empty personality who needs more than the usual dose of reassurance, or who might genuinely be at risk of mental damage from continual haranguing.

There are some share forums that behave more like a tearoom. Conversations might go “You don’t think that …?” Someone else goes “Yeah, I was worried about that, too.” Tossing around of thoughts and empathising (now there’s a word largely foreign to the IMU forums).

I’m here posting more often on IMU right now now because I am convinced that despite some saying that the sentiment on Hot Copper ultimately makes no difference to the share price, one only needs to see the tidal wave of negative commentary from newcomers to know that they all believe it must have some success.

Therefore I will do my bit in correcting the record where I can and query the unsubstantiated abstract slurs, even though there’s no chance of an even keel in this toxic IMU sludge until an announcement arrives.

What I do believe is that IMU is a front runner in its area and that the nature of its science provides the potential for virtually all cancers to successfully be treated into the future. I have not seen anyone on these forums able to discredit this.

I do regret that what I believe to be a manufactured mass hysteria has contributed to the driving down of the share price. But the only thing that would worry me there was if it could be used as a weapon in negotiations, and I suspect (hope) that far more realistic calculations would be applied.

Not sure whether that’s helped, but thank you for giving me the opportunity to put out there what I also feel needs to be said.
