Don't be too harsh on the pace of activity in the first year. Sorting out red and green tape to get on the ground and do any useful activity takes forever in WA even after the permit has been granted. Dealing with TO issues can take years so even getting in results this year was by no means certain 12 months ago.
As for coming up with a JORC resource this year that was never going to happen. The holes were drilled over too great an area as this was a first pass program. No point in drilling the sh1t out of one area and then finding the grades don't stack up. Don't reckon there would be too many people that could eyeball the difference between 62% and 52% from a pile of drill cuttings.
Hopefully a resource will come next year (after the wet) and the assays are back. The two or three best areas can have a concerted drilling campaign thrown at them.
