Unfortunately Dans "Black and Tans" are dragging down the rest of the police services around the country.
Policing by force should be the last avenue used. Police by consent, community consolation will ensure duality in respect and responsibility. We can see that Vicpol has not moved on from the Kelly Gang days and the Irish model of policing that uses threats, intimidation and aggression is still used today.
A copper I know in my little town who is a good guy and well respected fears the years of building trust and respect over many years has literally been dashed overnight.
So be kind to the genuine blue shirts who mean well and are equally distressed by the deteriorating environment. They are out there and are also living in this nightmare.
