CCE did a 1 for 3 consolidation when they were 10c towards the end of 2002. I know beacause I was on the receiving end of this debacle having bought on an impulse (well recommendation from DJC actually) but had I researched I would have found this consolidation had already been proposed - and we all know what they do to the share price (usually).
Post consolidation they rose to 30c for about 10 minutes and gradually subsided reaching 10c or just below in Mar 2003.
The subsequent rise you are referring to from 10c to 40c has nothing to do with a share consolidation - rather the reverse as the price has risen despite new shares being issued at (apparent) give away prices.
