Whatever happens, I think some underestimate South Korea's military capability...the South Koreans tend to go softly, softly, quietly, quietly in many respects - very much modeled on Japan of the past - you don't hear much, but action speaks louder than words. Their economy is strong. Look at their successful electronics and motor vehicle industries, for example. The mentality of the people is strong and of success. The government, no doubt, is quietly very well prepared for what their nutcase neighbour is capable of...
...if push comes to shove, with the support of the US, any South Korean response will be swift and precise.
Sadly and surprisingly in this day and age, the North Korean people are so close and yet so far from the freedoms and opportunities that their neighbours enjoy...
