Apparently we're aging.
So the government brings in more people to boost the young cohort.
But they get old as well.
So we bring in more to cover them.
Soon we're 50 million then 100 then is it 200 or 400 million? Or more?
We're on a largely dry continent with ancient soils and we're already constrained for water quality and quantity.
Sydney and Melbourne has horror traffic already. WA has plenty of space but very dry. SA the same.
That leaves SW of WA and the golden triangle Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney.
That's also where almost all of our food is grown.
Bringing more and more people into Australia is madness. Leave immigration levels at replacement rate of deaths - births and keep our population static.
There's more than enough people in Australia, and the world for that matter and we shouldn't be increasing our population any further.
