While there is truth in what you say The Man will only transfer energy products at a rate acceptable to them.
Personally I would prefer to see that transferrence sooner than later so we do not suffer financial shock.
However oil is not just petrol BUT the very source of lubricant. The wheels need to be greased, notwithstanding the type of new energy source.
The fact that GGE has now found considerable reserves NOW makes it extremely valuable as the tide of consensus turns to alternates. Oil wells will become harder to drill and existing leases will only become more valuable.
GGE now has both.
