I agreee that this decision appears completely out of character of OH but would be surprised if the chairman and directors could have wielded such power to railroad a CEO such as OH who has such an enormous profile in the mining industry as he has, and whose baby has been OXR for over 10 years. Owen is the company.

I don't know enough about zinc but if it is not used in industry then why does Ox want it? To say it will be in short supply in the year 2011 is a bit sus - who cares? Seems a very long shot and could well be wrong. Why sacrifice a company with a reputation which Oxiana once had for such a pie-in-the-sky prospect.

No, I think the market speaks. That something magic is going to happen to the sp on 16 June, appears not to be believed by the majority of investors/traders, otherwise why today's price? The sp reflects the market's future assessment of a company.
