"Get out Monday if you have any sense in equities."
@JFI,
I own a share in a family business that was started sometime after the second world war. I have only seen the management accounts for this business going back to the early 1980s, and since then the business has been profitable in every year and has, on average, grown its profits in 4 years out of every 5.
I firmly believe the nature of this business, and the plans that the board has put in place (I am not a director, nor am I employed by the business) means that it will continue to repeat its historical financial performance in the coming years.
But I am a bit unnerved by your ominous commentary.
I have someone who has offered to buy my interest in the business, at what looks like a price that I believe does not fully value the future prospects of the business.
In the light of your urgent concerns, do you think should I sell my stake in this business?
