That's the lesson of predictions, a folly game of coin flip. I have learned long ago not to fall into this mindset, confirmation bias. Knowing when one is trading against or with a trend is the most important awareness and the need to use appropriate management of exposure.
Just believing where price will go in the end is not a sustainable method of management because it could get very painful before it recovers or worse it never recovers.
