Too right - its a circus
the first thing they need to do is restore transparancy:
- broker codes visible to all
- full disclosure of short-selling, stock borrowing and lending
- tighten the time limits and penalties for substantial shareholder notices and directors holdings
- take away the ASX power to oversee trading and give it to ASIC
- prosecute a few people to set some examples
