When SLR get to $1.50 it will put the EGA script offer at 40.5c

and at $10 it will be $2.70 for EGA.
Trouble is we live in the here and now!
and you say EGA shareholders don't understand the downside in not accepting the offer.
1/ EGA SP was trading at its current level before the offer was announced.
2/ An additional approval has been received since the SLR offer was made.
3/ The gold price has risen since the offer was made.
4/ EGA share price (cash offer) is trading 15% to 20% above the SLR script offer.
It is hard to see downside by not accepting, the downside is in accepting as the above facts show.
