I suppose I meant that the way his ann was written, he should have realised the effect this would have on the market, and decided to halt until it was put into a better 'form'.
It was always going to drop the price with lack of substance, so in fact he was playing into the hands of traders, who are renouned to 'sell the ann' after buying the rumour.
As a long term holder, and oft sufferer (!) - it would have been much better to see a sustained price rise, than give the traders what they wanted! A chance to sell out and re buy cheaper.
