A 9kg gold bar - worth over half a million bucks. A rewarding feeling as a LT holder to see this day, after the usual ups and downs one must endure . Well done Peter Bowler.

But what does the market do ? sell it down 5%. No reported delays or hicups worth noting and development stage through to production delivered very much on time and under budget. An upgrade to the production forecast is expected actually thanks to new duckhead resource.

The market has NFI what its doing most of the time, it really doesn't. So much cloak and dagger stuff going on in the back ground these days , creates an awfull lot of background noise and manufactured sentiment.

HFT , predatory algos , shorting, dark pools, organised and instigated broker shake downs etc etc....... A whole heap of counter productive and manipulative forces that make up what we call "the market". The above processes shape "the market" and deliver us a share price to look at and consider.

So when "the market" tells you that a share like AMX is worth 30c, or its gold worth only $22/oz - should you believe it ??

I should think "the markets" assessment of a company should at the very least , be taken with a large grain of salt.

Best to stick to the good old fundementals and go for the long term hold imo . Share prices will get pushed around , here and there in the short/medium term, but true value will always prevail at some point in the long term.. Always has.

Gold nerds reports an average valuation of $92/oz for developers.

AMX:

3.1mill oz at $92/oz = $310mill market cap or $1.15/share.

4mill oz at $92/oz = $1.48/share

These numbers and the ev/res metric are rough guides , but do help to highlight when there are gross distortions in "the markets" attempt at a valuation.
