im not missing the point and im not trying to re-invent a phrase or banish it from the phrase book.
the fact is the market is always right and thats that.
if people want to discuss whether the market is right for them at any given moment or whether the market is correct (which you can determine by research) then they should fill their boots.
but the "market is always right" is a legitimate phrase which has a distinct meaning and should be allowed to be quoted in its correct context.
maybe those that you mentioned weren't using it in its correct context so they too would be wrong.
