"All genuine buyers from Monday are now around 5% to 8% underwater in two days!!!!!!"
Why is it beyond the realms of eminent possibility and probability that the counter-parties to those genuine buyers could be genuine sellers that have avoided a 5% to 8% loss?
Maybe the selling is simply by people like drachma who are tired of waiting, or they inherited the shares from their uncle and didn't really know what they were, or they have had an emergency that requires them to monetise their investments, or they see some other share that they think is a better investment, or it was a long-only investment fund that had redemptions that it had to fund or had a change in investment mandate, or a change in risk parameters, or had or a change in portfolio manager and the new guy/girl didn't like the MSB story, or it was a quant fund trading around index changes, or it was a result of global MSCI changes, or anticipated changes, or, or, or....
There a a vast array of reasons why - on a given day - shares are both bought and sold.
I, unequivocally, say that I have no idea why buying exceeds selling on any given day, and why selling exceeds buying on any given day.
My contention is that no one could possibly know.
Yet you, antibody, claim that you somehow do know.
And when you get questioned how you can say with such certainty that it is definitely "manipulation" - and by inference, definitely not the vast number of other determinants that influence thousands of purchasing and selling investment decisions each day... then your response is vitriolic.
So let me summarise:
Me: I don't know why the share price is going down
You: it's the manipulators.
Me: How?
You: It's so obvious. Can't you see? Look at the screen. Look at the trades.
Me: No, I can't see. All I see the cumulative daily actions of buyers and sellers that have a plethora of motives and reasons for selling or buying. But I can't see any dominant causal impact of any one particular factor at any one time. How is it possible for you to do so?
