yes MEO is the operator...But in the AGM youtube shows, what ever his name said that Petrobras chose the position for the first well...i think he said "they spent so much getting in, we thought we owed them that"

Because if they hit gas, Petro would have paid for the drill, the then cash bonus of $31 million, then free carry MEO for 2 more wells....thats alot more money. this way they could scrap all that with a dud drill, then not have to pay anymore bonus's and free carrys, hence making their share bigger.
