    Ddzx,

    Interesting, you say "
when the mind thinks: "the mind & matter that compose this life will end" this is the deathless or immortal state of mind "

I conceive that the above can be but the mind and life substance of origin belongs to life itself.

Is time measurable? I think not.
If we take away the limitations of our everyday existence, we might just have an argumentation based on formatted concepts.
Those limitations are everywhere and they condition our life in a way that it is not funny anymore. ( although a giggle or two may come about ). We are living in a time bomb, tic tic toc, and the idea of a death ( wrong ) is at will, it is in front of us and that is a big threat to our freedom of thought, since we erroneously conceive death as a fearful thought. Why should death be not feared? Because we haven't experienced it for a start. And to think up the idea of death as the end is wrong since we can only live the present moment. Plus thoughts associated with future or past should have no part in our present moment life since they are considered to be limitations.

So what's the augment for immortality then? Don't know really just browsing about and with all the arguments available we might get a better idea.
