Since we didn't exist as an identity before we were born there is no basis for believing we will exist as an identity after death. There is simply no basis for thinking otherwise. No evidence whatsoever.
Some religious types squirm and wriggle in an attempt to show immortality, quoting this and that from some "holy book" but that's not evidence.
