Mr Gordon, With Ecclesiastes 9:5. It should not be understood as a theological statement on the condition of the soul after death but rather an observations about how things appear to men on the earth “under the sun".
Peter 4:6 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
Yes makes perfect sense that after they die those that have no heard the gospel are preached it in the spirit world.
My interpretation of Genesis 2:17 is yes they will die but they also died spiritually.Thus the need of the atonement and Jesus Christ...............etc
