rabbitoh, i agree....propping up the housing market is not in the interests of new homes buyers..21 grand is hardly a large amount.....all i can see happening is more people who will end up in mortgage distress in a few yaers after the dust settles...
housing prices need to come way down to allow those than want to enter the market do so safely and not at inflated prices as they are now...
i think this is just a short term solution, the market will dictate that prices are too high and is doing so now...the added incentive will just be for the desperate who struggle to save......
