i stay away from oil and gas stocks as very news based huge swings in SP, imo. I remember having a five-bagger in EGO in one day! Imo the speccys too risky and the producers underperform the general market. TA would be of little use in the sector because of the reliance on news. Oil there, no it's not, yes it is but not much etc....

Hi Robandrews, interesting view. Have you ever looked at AUT chart? Almost 10 bagger in 2010 It got into ASX 200 in December 2010 and was Nr 1 performer of ASX 200. (I'm a happy holder). It's smaller sister EKA also did well. This is not to cross promote, just my reaction to what you said about oil and gas tho I'm sure you are also right.
