Pretty sure Gunns originally bought the NSW land and had a Gunns' person up there on the ground managing the establishment phase. But wouldn't be surprised if they had subsequently managed it from the GT. Then may have been packaged up with the Auspine sale.
As you say, won't make much difference in the wash up, but in Great Southern, Timbercorp and FEA case poorer plantations on leased areas have been easier for the administrator to get rid of if they chose to - just stopped paying leases! Not that Tumut/Tumba should be poor. It's good pine country.
