I agree that they'll try to on-sell the pulp mill project. Most likely a sale of Gunns lock, stock and barrel. Pulp mill project isn't much use without the Tasmanian plantation estate.
I've put the key word in upper case in the the statement "... it is an indication of decreased confidence from the Company that IT has the ability to influence the Mill Project proceeding". They seem to leave it open to interpretation that 'OTHERS' have the ability.
Not a bad punt for someone, especially with a contrarian bend. For example, Harvard University purchased the Kaingaroa pine estate in NZ from receivers and couldn't have timed it better.
