It's been some time since I enquired directly from the company about the patent application and at that time there had been no news. As we all know patent applications take time, longer than most of us holding this stock would care for.
Not that many shareholders ever got aboard this minnow because of the Nearmap acquisition, but the latest update from the company re the German SAR case didn't read as positively as I would have hoped, so like many holders of this stock I am clutching at Nearmap straws too.
I am speculating, but I can't see why a US patent application would in any way hold up the "go to market strategy" that they claim to embrace for their Nearmap technology applications within Australia.
The two non executive directors, Newman and Agerup must be doubting whether they will ever be able to exercise those 20 cents options. Thank god the company didn't cross their palms with cash, we'd all be less pleased than we are now.
We should get some news re the SAR case in early October as there is a meeting for all participants scheduled on October 1, but I'm not holding my breath; fingers crossed that there is a positive outcome that will see this progress further.
