    Munali Nickel mine resumes underground operations
    Zambia's Munali nickel mine has resumed underground operations that were suspended in June due to ventilation problems, a company official said on Wednesday.

    Mine manager Mathew Banda told Reuters that the operations restarted after independent consultants declared the working areas safe.

    He said all the working areas were deemed safe and that underground operations resumed on July 1st.

    The mine is run by Australia-listed Albidon , 50 percent owned by China's Jinchuan Group, and is expected to produce around 56,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate this year.
