Its more likely that you havent heard of the subject,i have brought it up a few times,but it missed the spot,i brought up the subject recently,in regards to,the modern day position and understanding of the covenants originates from Augustine,and gives us dispensational views of the covenants.

Which changes the gospel understanding of the cross ,Gods character,and who God is,as you correctly understand,the trinity is the foundational doctrine of the catholic church,from which all her other doctrines originate from.
