I rely on the Inter through Bible Hub, as from what I've seen, not a huge investigation, it appears to be the closest. I often on the questionable areas, click the number above the Greek word, for actual definitions.
The term "usage", away from the definition, IMO, is not more than a license, to fit Bias seeds = why break away from a clear definition?????
BUT, sadly, you have to be on the ball, as sometimes they do not carry over the true Greek word, to define. So, you can get egg on your face, if it turns out you're pushing the definition and it's wrong, and I personally, cannot stand failure, and shame if I do. In that regard, I'm probably my own worse judge, as to me, it's like you've dropped the ball, standing right before our two above - shame.
In beginning was the Word and the Word was toward (ongoing, in progress) the Theon 'and' Theos was the Word. This; was in beginning toward (ongoing, in progress) the Theon.
Ex: Titus 1:2 for John 1:3,4 ..........The Light, the Man.
Mess with that word order of 1:1c and you grossly mess with WHY John uses Theon and Theos, for the One singular Identity and the use of "and" which is also to link the two, one in the same person, subject together. John's first 13 verses is as per Isa 40:3, Mal 3:1, The Way for the Father, his word, what it means, represents and brings = life, to which the Son picks up the torch and runs with it. Giving the Prologue, a perfect flow, instead of Mayhem.
For nearly my entire 9yrs on here, "toward" and the "This;" with the semicolon, was the only singular definition available, in that Inter and Strong's. It was only after a heat month long debate with Star, they mysteriously, they have now added to it, to suit the corrupted Bibles.
1 John 1:1-3, John intentionally uses toward once, to align with John 1:1,2 and uses the Greek word of with, 3 times.
The words Pros = Toward and stretching it, to and unto, is used around 700 times and only 43 are translated "with" and when you actually check them out, there is no grounds, or need to step away from the true definitions.
Sometimes when you click the number, for the definition, but it takes you to the "original" word = they have change the word, or expanded it, in much later years, which gives it an entirely different meaning.
1:14 in no way, is referring the Word becoming flesh = Luke does that and as per Gen - be fruitful and multiply = the word = we are all the word become flesh. Now people think the following is not a Big deal, but it most definitely is.
John 1:14 And the Word flesh (Man) became = arrives on the scene. The twist to promote another story = And the Word became flesh (Man) = a whole new story.

The trouble is, with the corruption of 1:1, = Father being the Word, in short is Word and all are the image of - Living Words, as hard as that may seem = figuratively. All as per the NT says, have His Name - Word and Him being The Word. The Son's Baptism resulted in John 1:13 and the 13 = the name not known Rev 19:12,13 linked to Rev 3:12, Rev 2:17 the hidden manna, part of and quite possibly, all linked to the mystery of God - Rev 10:7, among other things.
The Son became 'a' Word of the Fathers.
Heb 4:12 - For the word of God is alive and active (Aussie Aussie, Oi OI Oi, 'We' are one Word but 'We' are many). Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Double-edge sword, figuratively the Hands on the clock, Rod of Iron - Big The Word and Little The Word of God).
