The notion of Muslims fighting non-believers is one of the most widely-spread fallacies. Misinterpretation of the Quranic verses is very common especially when the historical aspects are not taken into consideration.
These verses were revealed after the peace treaty of Hudaybiyyah was signed between the Quraysh leaders of Mecca and Muslims; six years after Hijrah, in 628 CE. According to the treaty, Muslims could visit Mecca and perform the Umrah (Lesser Pilgrimage) in the following year. However, some Muslims were afraid that Arab polytheists may not stick to their promise and attack them during the pilgrimage.
In case, Quraysh leaders broke the Hudaybiyyah peace agreement and attacked the Muslims during the pilgrimage, only then Muslims were commanded to fight in self-defense. However, they were commanded to preserve the age-old sanctity of the Kaaba by not fighting in it unless they were attacked by Qurayshis, in which case Muslims had to retaliate.
In fact, if you study the verses carefully; you will notice that even when Muslims were permitted to fight in self-defense; they were instructed to practice certain war ethics: “Fight in the cause of Allah those who initially fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors.”
It is paramount to understand the Quranic verses in light of the appropriate context in order to understand Islam, and Muslims better.
It says : Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you but do not trangress limits for Allah loves not the transgressors. (Quran 2:190)
In the earlier verse it is very clearly stated to fight only those who attacks first.
Then Allah says : And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers. (Quran 2:191)
Now,do you know what verses come after this?
No?
Okay. I'll let you know.
It says : And if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Quran 2:192)
Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] worship is [acknowledged to be] for Allah . But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the oppressors. (Quran 2:193)
This is one of the verses which Islamophobes use against us to prove that we are violent, when in fact Allah orders us not to fight unless attacked. And even then if they stop, we are to discontinue fighting.
However, one should not derive a Quranic rule from one verse in isolation, as the Quran usually scatters information about one topic everywhere. Verse 2:190 says not to aggress. Aggression is unprovoked hostility towards one another. That means we have no right to fight anyone if they do not provoke us or do anything to us. And verse 8:61 and 4:90 says that if the enemy asks for peace and surrender, we have no right to fight them.
Verse 2:193 says “And fight them until there is no more oppression and the religion is for God, but if they cease, then no aggression is permitted except against the transgressors.” which means we should stop fighting them if they wish to stop. The only ones we should still fight is if they transgress the limits (i.e. cheap tricks such as killing someone behind their backs during ceasefire, or they keep trying to fight us after their entire army officially surrendered).
I hope I've cleared your doubt.

God is One, from Adam to Muhammad, peace be upon them
But people have turned away from worshiping God according to their own whims
And all the prophets were sent, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, etc.
God (the Father) alone is the God of all humanity.
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans foreverGenesis 6:3
It doesn’t make sense that God sends countless Prophets like Noah, Abraham and Moses to tell people to believe in one God, and then suddenly sends a radically different message of the Trinity which contradicts his previous Prophets teachings. It is clear that the sect of Christianity who believed Jesus to be a human Prophet and nothing more, were following the true teachings of Jesus. This is because their concept of God is the same as that which was taught by the Prophets in the Old Testament.
The truth is that Jesus preached the same message that the Prophets in the Old Testament preached. There is a passage in the Bible which really emphasizes his core message. A man came to Jesus and asked “Which is the first commandment of all?”Jesus answered, “The first of all the commandments is Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.’’[Mark 12:28-29]. So the greatest commandment, the most important belief according to Jesus is that God is one. If Jesus was God he would have said ‘I am God, worship me’, but he didn’t. He merely repeated a verse from the Old Testament confirming that God is One.
, Christ said3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.John 17:3Christ confined divinity to the Father alone
God says in the Qur’anO People of the Book, do not commit excesses in your religion, and do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers and do not speak of a ‘Trinity’– stop [this], that is better for you– God is only one God, He is far above having a son, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him and He is the best one to trust. [4:171]
Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
“Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.” (Quran 112:1-4)[4]
