Gartman made the following call on April 4

"We shall reiterate for the record that yesterday was our WATERSHED shift in sentiment toward equities. Where we had erred always and everywhere since mid-year last year toward the bearish side, we shall err henceforth bullishly. As we said, our long standing clients/readers/friends et al know that we do not make WATERSHED changes in sentiment often, and we stake a thirty year reputation upon the line when we do so... so we do so infrequently and we do so with great trepidation. However, it does appear to us that the global bear market has run its course".
