One thing about JORC is that they are just guidelines (with consequences, I agree) but the decision as to what category (confidence) comes down to the person preparing the resource calculation and the data they have. What one may call Indicated, another may call inferred etc. but the decision of compliance to the guidelines comes down to the competent person and the size of their kahunas.
To me, there can be a couple of reasons for no JORC reserve
Lack of confidence (maybe the trial mining didn't reconcile too well)
Not enough information to plan with confidence (costs drive the conversion from resource to reserve)
The new guys are not prepared to put their name to it (who signs as the competent person and what size the kahunas?).
Either way, there is plenty of the good stuff there and I am ambivalent about JORC in deposits like this.
