Whatever way you perceive it, it will protect everyone with under $200,000aud in an account. That is for each account, you may have more than one account with up to $200,000aud. How is that not protecting the account holders?
There is currently no limit to bailout by the government but there is a guarantee a bail in to account holders as I have described above, how is that not protecting the average punter?
When you talk about the government what you are talking about is taxpayer money, my money and maybe yours, Im not sure if you live in Australia. This does not distance the government at all in the case of a bank collapse.
