    Thanks Raider. IMO Taiwan's chip industry is the reason we won't see a hot war there any time soon because it would destroy the major source of the world's advanced chips. I have never understood why the equipment to make the chips can't be set up anywhere else in the world including China but there must be a good reason because Taiwan has had the front running for years now.
    The US has put China on the back foot by directing TSMC (the largest and most advanced of Taiwan's chip manufacturers) to stop supplying many of the US licenced chips to China. I have no idea how it will all work out but there will certainly be plenty of "diplomacy" going on over the next few years between China, Taiwan and the USA.
