any job can be boring if you are at the lower rung of that particular profession. I am sure many law clerks think their work is boring.
If you work as a book-keeper, yes, it can be very boring. Some people who are not familiar with the accounting profession seem to think a book-keeper is an accountant. To give another example, a draftsman is not an architect.
Higher level of accounting work does require a lot of brain power and that is where the interesting part is. And, I am not talking about preparing tax returns.
