One small factor which may have contributed to the new year "waking" is that on the morning of 11 January I suddenly noticed that my home-made stock screener software was accidentally omitting all stocks starting with the letter Z.
As soon as I fixed that Z defect, ZNT suddenly appeared as an undervalued stock and in a panic buy I immediately bought about 38K shares, which helped to push up the price on 11 January.
Pity about that programming error, I should have got in sooner. My software is garbage.
