    one word of warning though; 'open in all directions' can as easily mean 'closed in all directions but we just don't know it yet'. That is, a defined resource is far more valuable. Quartz vein systems are notoriously variable things and need to be well defined. Just go ask the sad investors at Ballarat Gold, for instance.
