thats what the Muslims in western Sydney are referring to themselves as.

its certainly not a registered Party (yet) and it looks like they'll be standing as independents.

A spokesperson for the group told the ABC it was a "grassroots" movement with over 2,000 volunteers and was preparing to endorse candidates in the Labor-held seats of Blaxland, Watson, McMahon and Werriwa.

"It is the first time that the Muslim community has realised that their vote does matter," the spokesperson said. "This has been a line in the sand."

the way I see it is the Muslims people have had a lot of years experiencing being shunned, insulted, tagged as suspected terrorists by we non-Muslim people. I know from various people there is an alienated undercurrent as much as there is among Aboriginal people.

naaaahhh Aussies aren't racist, we just want them to be like us.

but the real question is what can we imagine this will do for our democracy?

will it damage our system? or open doors to better communication?

there are enough people who fear Shariah law..... could this eventually be a real question?
