It's hilarious and ridiculous to reject refugees
as being a danger to the Australian culture
which is defined in Anglo-Celtic terms.

When the Howard Government decided that
Afghanistan was 'safe', it wanted to deport
young Afghan men as their temporary visas
no longer applied. The owner of the Cowra
Abattoir complained (to no avail) that his
Afghan workers were badly needed as
(unlike Aussies) they didn't get drunk
as they were Muslims and turned up
for work on Monday and every other
day and had joined and were liked
on local sporting teams. Howard
was annoyed and deported them.

In rejecting refugees (on race grounds)
we could be rejecting a Don Bradman
because his mother came from India:



Or we could be rejecting another Walter Lindrum
because he's Chinese and not the 'right type'.
