Aussie racists define them out. Decent Aussies define them in.
The myopic stupidity of racism is it gives refugees no say in defining who is a refugee.
Refugees voted with their feet. That's enough evidence for me.
Everything else is racism posing as refugee policy.

in 1943 the Russians pointed a gun to my grandmothers head, kicked her out of her house, said this is not your country anymore, F off. so my grandmother took her four daughters under the age of 10 and trodded off in the snow with no food or clothing until she made it to a place where there was no one shooting at them.
THAT MADE THEM REFUGEES.

THAT MADE THEM IMMIGRANTS.
Don't talk to me about refugees until you grasp some understanding of how your so-called asylum seekers are making in harder for genuine refugees to come to this country.
p.s. I also work with a Sudanese refugee who has been in Australia for 7 years and we have been trying to get his Brother, who is in a Refugee camp in Sudan into Australia for a long time but we can't because of all these people in front of him.
