So who was the mystery buyer today?
8.6m at 87c - a $7.5m order.
Not bad in anyone's language.
And effectively at market - at a price which was significant resistance for EMC in the past, yet should now provide significant support.
The fact is that there aren't many funds/institutions who would take a line like this. Fidelity?Vanguard?BlackRock?
And logic dictates that this is their first lick to get them on board - something they wouldn't have done on market (what would an 8.6m share order done to the share price?) but would've required to be arranged for them.
Now that they're set though, I'd be shocked if they weren't ongoing buyers ON MARKET.
