I only knew about those cruises because went from Kirkenes to Vardo a few years back - then, got sick of seeing the (S) Aurora out the bedroom window on many nights - but, could only see it using digital - started looking at how to see the Northern lights - and noticed that the ferry people did the cruises as well.
I didn't think that it was only 12 days when I was looking - but, I think it was limited to a couple of month period --------- I was thinking Feburary was pretty much guaranteed
12 days is long - but, it's certainly an adventurous area.
I was thinking about wintering in Sweden for a season or so ------ but, I will see how I survive this one first -- and, it's not as cold as up there
