I agree it has nothing to do with the advent of Israel. Just as Christianity has its periods of great advances and terrible injustices. The dark ages weren’t called that for no reason. Likewise with Islam.
so I see fundamentalism as separate from Israel but are sing at a time when the west has changed courses as well It is as one might say, an unholy mess
