seriously - but watso cannot believe how cheap it is to live .. just a matter of looking around and buying from the cheapest place - and do some good homestyle watso cooking (see food forum).. and watso actually enjoys some cooking - as the results are mostly very pleasant ...

anyway - time for watso to jump on the pushie (before it gets too hot)- and buy a couple of kg of bananas at $2/kg - but could pay $4/kg elsewhere ..

have bought sweet potato at $1.70/kg (could have paid $4 elsewhere) .. might include in a soup - or maybe a curry

watso uses onions (and always cheap at spudshed) in most dishes - as it is a good flavour base (ie first sauté the onions) ..

etc etc

and watso enjoys a glass or two of cheap golden oak tawny , instead of the pinot mentioned by piske
