Some people post opinions without facts which is useless. You post facts aplenty but your logic is generally flawed. The premise that a poster on hotcopper should be able to propose a complex restructure of the UN the world's only (fragile) international consultative body is one example.
France has vast international involvements and is in the top 5 or 6 countries in military capacity and spend. France has highly developed technology and military industries. France is also currently disposed to peace which is something the security council should be refocussed on.
South Africa is a basket case economically and organisationally, as is Nigeria where the authorities cannot even control internal religious conflicts.
I agree absolutely that a security council restructure could be a good thing but stacking the security council to suit your political preferences is not on the cards unless your real name is Kissinger or Kofi Annan????
