It was enlightening to read CMQ’s announcement almost 2 years ago titled “FACT BEFORE RUMOUR” dated 22 March 2004 where
(Quote) CMQ merely wishes to EMPHATICALLY REAFFIRM its recent announcements:
“CMQ continues to be optimistic of announcing successful completion of commissioning in the near future, but at the same time wishes to avoid excessive or uncertain announcement of intermediate progress” (ASX 27.04.02)”

Almost 2 years later, on 1 February 2006 in the ASX announcement titled “Increase in Plant Capacity”,
(Quote) “Mr David Williams said he was pleased with the latest improvements in the operating capability of the plant” and QUOTE: “ We are now VERY CONFIDENT the plant will achieve 100% nameplate capacity in the 1st quarter of this year as indicated last year”.

It was good enough to have a whole ASX announcement dedicated to announcing the capacity improvement and to express CMQ’s “VERY CONFIDENT” but today a few lines in a 20 pages announcement we read: “100% nameplate now targeted for the second quarter of 2006”. Were announcements of intermediate progress made before this? Please read CMQ’s announcements on 8/03/05 (15 to 25% capacity) and 29/07/05 (55% capacity); they speak for themselves.

And the “VERY CONFIDENT” is now expressed as (Quote)
“Have reached the stage where we are COMFORTABLE that 100% nameplate can be achieved”.

Let us read Mr Williams’ confidence on 1 Nov 2005 in regard to the Australian product registration where among other things (QUOTE) “ I have also advised the Board ……. I am personally committed to achieving APVMA approval by 30 April 2006”. The registration process is now reported as “progressing but is expected to extend until early 2007”.
