Misty - essentially the thread is about the new Irish PM - I don't care very much what he is, what party he belongs to, but will be interested in what he 'does' do, once in the job.
I don't know about you but one's sexual preferences become pretty clear even in childhood, even if you don't know what exactly it is you are feeling; I 'liked' my male cousins more than I liked my female ones, I had a crush on a boy before I knew what 'sexual' feelings are. I am sure with homosexuals it is a bit more complex, but wouldn't be surprised if a 'sissy' little boy wants to latch onto a protective bigger boy.
Even the children gay people adopt will follow what's put into their cradle and may well follow their parents or even cringe they have two dads or two mums; but the world we live in is becoming more accepting, at least I hope so!
Just my opinion, for what it's worth - allow the new Irish PM to show what he can do for Ireland.
