Conflicts makes it difficult to promote trade/investments. China had rather big ones in Israel until US put a stop to it citing security issue. Even the British official publicly stated that their hacks have investigated to death on Huawei back doors, etc and found nothing. But just like Israel, the US pressure is immense. It is what it is.
Some of those US traditional allies doing business with China must realise that they will have to address the Iranian issue in their region. Unlike US , China does not get involved in domestic politics and keep that separate from a business transaction. The West will add constraints of the warm fuzzy types until such times as it is super inconvenient such as the high profile killing of Kashoggi. IT is what it is in the name of national interest.
