The challenges getting lithium out of Tibet are substantial. Geographically remote and infrastructurally poor. The Chinese built a railway almost to Tibet through some very challenging terrain, they used some very interesting engineering solutions. It is my understanding that it does not go the entire distance as of yet.
The largest lithium deposits are also in Tibet to the best of my knowledge, exactly where, I am unsure.
Perhaps someone has this information.
