AHL's new Priority Guest Reward Program supposedly brings the 3 hotel chains, QT, Rydges and Art Series all under the one loyalty card.
No members have had points upgraded for nearly 2 months now since the big database change commenced. The new website simply isn't updating at all. The claims made in the glossies and the extensive internet advertising campaign isn't being realised. Complete shambles.
This new program clearly targets the corporate sector and traditional regular travelling hotel guests are falling from grace. Another serious global downturn and hotels around the nation will take another battering; AHL may live to reget disenchanting a fair proportion of existing loyalty club members by this changeover.
I'm selling out whilst the going is good; the current sp is a healthy return. I think David Seargeants mob might be heading south again over the winter with events in Europe triggering a more general downturn in downunder hotel activity over the next fiscal year rather than improving occupancy figures.
AHD is more likely to retrace under $6 than cruise past $7 IMO.
